Ready to kick off META-SENSE, the ERC Proof of Concept 2025 project we have just been awarded! 🚀

META-SENSE aims to develop a compact, regenerable, label-free nanosensor to detect PFAS, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, among the most widespread and persistent environmental contaminants. The device will exploit state-ot-the-art optical metasurfaces to enable rapid, on-site PFAS quantification directly in water, reducing reliance on centralized laboratory testing and supporting scalable monitoring of water quality. METASENSE will contribute to more accessible environmental diagnostics and faster decision-making for screening and remediation.
